How the warranty works

Years 1 to 7
Eligible systems benefit from a minimum 7-year manufacturer parts warranty, subject to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries terms and annual servicing requirements.

After year 7, while FOAC Comfort Care remains active

FOAC provides a Lifetime Parts Warranty for eligible residential Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Premium systems. This is our commitment to long-term ownership and support, giving you continued protection beyond the standard manufacturer warranty period.

This Lifetime Parts Warranty is a FOAC funded parts promise that runs alongside, and then extends beyond, the manufacturer warranty.

What “Lifetime Parts Warranty” means

If a covered component fails due to a manufacturing or product related fault, we will supply the replacement part at no additional cost while your FOAC Comfort Care plan remains active, and while the system remains within its reasonable service life.

We aim to keep the process simple and fair. If the fault is clearly covered, we treat it as a warranty matter. If the cause is outside warranty, we’ll explain why and provide a clear price to resolve it.

Labour, call outs & consumables

Your plan is designed to keep costs predictable, but some items depend on the nature of the fault.

Parts & Labour

Parts covered as described above, subject to eligibility and exclusions.
Labour may be included under your FOAC Comfort Care benefits where applicable. Where labour is not included, or where the issue is not covered, we will confirm the cost before proceeding.

Consumables and non parts items
Items such as refrigerant, condensate pumps, insulation, trunking alterations, cosmetic items, access equipment, drainage issues or building works are not classed as manufacturer parts warranty items and may be chargeable unless specifically included within your plan.

Refrigerant loss and leak related faults

Refrigerant cannot simply be topped up without identifying the cause of loss.

If refrigerant loss is due to a warranty related component or installation issue, repairs may be covered and handled in line with your warranty and plan benefits.
If refrigerant loss is due to accidental damage, corrosion from environmental factors, third party interference, building works, rodent damage, or system misuse, it is typically chargeable.

We will always diagnose first and explain what is covered and what is chargeable before any work proceeds.

Key conditions to keep Lifetime cover active

Lifetime cover remains valid only while:

The system is installed by Fair Oak Air Conditioning Ltd
The installation is residential and the system is eligible
Your FOAC Comfort Care plan remains active without interruption
Annual servicing is completed on time, every year
No unauthorised third party works, modifications or repairs take place
The system is used and maintained in line with manufacturer guidance

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under UK consumer protection law.
